Neodymium magnet. Copper core.
15% more spark energy
Every Mantis coil is built around an increased-strength neodymium permanent magnet core — the same rare-earth material used in high-performance electric motors.
It produces a significantly stronger magnetic field than the ferrite cores in standard OE coils, saturating faster and storing more energy per cycle.
The result is a hotter, longer spark with higher secondary current — delivering 15% more spark energy to the plug on every single fire.

Direct OE Fit
No splicing, no adapters, no ECU changes.
Unplug the old coil, plug in the Mantis. Done in minutes with a basic socket set.
164 OE cross-references. Zero guesswork.
find your car's coilsThe Mantis Technology
Every reason your engine deserves better.
OE ignition coils are specced to a price point on the day the car was built. And that's OK for the standard car.
But if you’ve remapped, added boost, covered miles, or simply want the best for your high-performance engine, then the factory coil was never designed for any of it.
Over time, the combination of intense heat cycles, continuous engine vibration, and high electrical stress will gradually break down internal insulation, causing the coil to short out, misfire, or fail entirely.
And that's where the Mantis coil technoiogy comes in:

Time to upgrade?
Over 60,000 miles on your original coils? ECU tuned? Rough idle, or hesitations under acceleration?
Then it's time to upgrade.
What's inside?
Mantis ignition coils deliver increased spark energy for stronger, cleaner combustion - helping performance engines fire consistently under load.
See the all technology we've built in:

High-Temp Boot
Prevents high-voltage leaks at the spark plug interface.
Stainless Spring
Internal ferrite noise suppressor prevents radiofrequency interference.
Advanced Thermoplastic
Connector resists fractures from heat and thermal cycling.
Copper Windings
Higher insulation grade — heat resistant, prevents high-voltage breakdown.
Neodymium Core
Grain-oriented permanent magnet maximises high-voltage output at all speeds.

Performance. Guaranteed.
The numbers don't lie.
Independent testing across primary current, secondary voltage, spark energy and spark duration.
More mJ delivered means more complete fuel ignition across the rev range. The spark stays alive longer - critical under boost where mixture takes more time to ignite.
The neodymium core charges faster and stores more energy per dwell cycle.

With 164 OE coil applications here in UK stock, we've got almost every petrol engine covered,
"Fitted the MTP-1003 to my Golf GTI Mk7 after chasing a misfire under boost for months. Plugged straight in, no issues. The misfire is completely gone and throttle response feels sharper than before. Genuinely impressive for the price."
"Had a flashing CEL on my Fiesta ST for weeks. Dealer quoted me a fortune. Ordered MTP-1013, fitted it in 10 minutes on the driveway. Light gone, car runs perfectly. Would have saved myself a lot of stress if I'd found Mantis sooner."
"Reg lookup found my coil in seconds — exact match for my GR Yaris. Arrived next day, build quality is excellent. Car starts cleaner in the cold and the idle is noticeably smoother. 100% recommend to anyone running a tune."

What are Mantis ignition coils?
Mantis ignition coils are high-output replacement coils engineered for performance petrol engines. They deliver stronger, more consistent spark energy to support cleaner combustion, smoother running and reliable firing under load.
Will Mantis coils fit my car?
Mantis coils are designed as direct OE replacements for specific vehicles and engines. Use the vehicle search or registration lookup to find the correct coils for your car.
Are Mantis coils suitable for tuned engines?
Yes, absolutely. Tuned, remapped, turbocharged and supercharged engines place greater demand on the ignition system. Mantis coils are designed to help maintain strong, reliable spark delivery under higher engine load.
Are Mantis coils suitable for standard engines?
Yes, definitely. Whether your standard engine is high-performance, or simply a regular daily-driver, the Mantis strong, stable spark will benefit efficiency, power and smoothness.
Can Mantis coils help fix misfires?
They can help if the misfire is caused by weak or failing ignition coils. However, misfires can also be caused by spark plugs, injectors, wiring or other engine issues, so proper diagnosis is recommended.
When should I change my original coils?
There's no single answer to this, but we always recommend that by around 60k miles / 100k kms, your original coils will be deteriorating. You may already be noticing poor running, you may have a fault code - or often, over the years, you may not have noticed the gradual rougher running or lower power that results from weak ignition coils.
Do I need to change anything else?
No coding, wiring changes or ECU calibration are required. For best results, we recommend fitting Mantis coils with fresh, correctly specified spark plugs.
Are Mantis coils covered by warranty?
Yes. Mantis ignition coils are covered by a 2-year warranty for added peace of mind.
